Who we are

The Chutney Project is a catering business based in Den Haag, the Netherlands. We are responsible for the personal details you share with us through this website. You can reach us at thechutneyprojectnl@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we receive the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address (if you give one), event date, number of guests and any event details you write. We also record that you agreed to be contacted.

Why we use it

We use these details only to respond to your enquiry: to contact you by phone or email, discuss your event and send you a quote. We do not use them for marketing, and we never sell them.

We process your details on the basis of your consent, given when you tick the box on the enquiry form, and to take the steps you ask for before agreeing a booking.

Who else handles it

To deliver your enquiry to us, we use a small number of service providers:

• FormSubmit, which forwards the enquiry form to our email inbox.
• Google (Gmail), where we receive and keep enquiry emails.
• GitHub Pages, which hosts this website, and Google Fonts, which serves its typefaces.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under the GDPR.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, unless you book with us. Booking records are kept as long as Dutch tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, to restrict how we use them, or to withdraw your consent. Email thechutneyprojectnl@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
